Chancellor's Society

A major university aspiring to greatness must have a core group of supporters whose mission is to see the institution attain its highest level. At the University of Arkansas, the Chancellor's Society is that group.

Overview

Chancellor Society members are among the University of Arkansas' most generous and loyal benefactors. These alumni and friends have an immeasurable impact on the University, its students, faculty and staff. The Society recognizes these alumni and friends who make a significant annual commitment to the future of the University.

The Chancellor's Society was initiated in 1989 to create a pool of funds to aid the University in its endeavors to seek significant gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations. Charter members are the founding members who made a five-year commitment for this purpose. All Society members have provided invaluable support and visionary leadership as they helped build a base for the future of the University of Arkansas.

In January 2001, more than a decade after its founding, The Chancellor's Society took on a new dimension. The Society expanded to encourage greater participation and provide appropriate recognition for all donors who make significant annual contributions to any area of campus. A major university aspiring to greatness must have a core group of supporters whose mission is to see the institution attain its highest level. At the University of Arkansas, the Chancellor's Society is that group.
