Q: What is the Faculty/Staff Giving Program?
A: This is a specialized program of the Annual Fund. The Faculty/Staff Giving Program provides an opportunity for University of Arkansas faculty and staff members to make annual gifts to their favorite initiatives or departments on campus.
Q: I already work here. Why should I give?
A: As the people who work here on a daily basis, we know the needs of the university. We are keenly aware of areas that are in need of financial support. In many cases, we are aware of needs that are not obvious to the external community.
Q: Can I specify where my contribution should go?
A: Yes, the choice is yours. The gift card includes a blank line on which you may write in the name of the college, department or program to which you designate your gift. If you would like to make a gift to an account not listed, please call the Office of Annual Programs at 5-2944 or e-mail annualfd@uark.edu.
Q: Can I designate my gift to more than one area?
A: Certainly. Just indicate the area and amount for each designation on the gift card.
Q: How much should I give?
A: No gift is too small - all gifts count and all gifts make a difference. The specific focus of this effort is on increasing the number of faculty and staff members who give to the university.
Q: Can I make an anonymous gift?
A: Yes. Just mark the box on the last line of the gift card. You will receive a tax receipt but your name will not appear on lists of gifts received by your department.
Q: Can I make a gift jointly with my spouse?
A: Yes. The gift card provides the opportunity to make a joint gift with your spouse.
Q: What are my payment options?
A: There are four ways to make a contribution:
1) Print and mail a payroll deduction form to have a portion of your gift automatically deducted from each paycheck.
2) Send a personal check made payable to the University of Arkansas Foundation to the Office of Annual Giving, 311 UNHS.
3) Charge your gift to your credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express). This option is available on the gift card or at our online gift Web site.
4) Make a gift of appreciated securities, such as stock. Call 5-7206 if you have questions.
Q: What if I didn't receive a gift card, or I lost it?
A: We will be happy to provide another card for you. Just call the Office of Annual Programs at 5-2944 or e-mail annualfd@uark.edu. Or, if you prefer, you may use the online gift form.
